Vodafone UK Mobile Adds Amazon Prime and YouTube Premium
Customers of Vodafone’s 4G and 5G based mobile (mobile broadband) services may like to know that the operator has just added content from Amazon Prime and YouTube Premium to their service, which means that Pay Monthly customers can optionally add them to their “Entertainment” plans as part of a single bill.
Until recently those paying extra to get the Entertainment Plan add-on (usually £7 extra per month) were given a choice to add content from either Sky Sports Mobile TV, Spotify Premium or the NOW TV Entertainment Pass on the operator’s 12 or 24 month contract terms. But as a result of today’s news customers now have two additional options to choose from – YouTube Premium (normally £11.99/month) or Amazon Prime (normally £7.99/month).
We should point out that Vodafone did previously offer similar access to Amazon Prime Video by itself. If you previously selected that option, and have more than 3 months of membership left, then you will be “automatically upgraded to the full Amazon Prime offering for the remaining period of their contract.”
Max Taylor, Consumer Director at Vodafone UK, said:
“Keeping our customers connected to the people and things that they love the most is our number one priority. That is why we are delighted to be the first UK operator to give our customers access to Amazon Prime and YouTube Premium as part of their mobile plan.
It means they can watch their favourite films, shows and videos, listen to their favourite music and do their online shopping, whenever and wherever on the UK’s best mobile data network.”
Prices for this start from £22 per month on a SIM-only plan with unlimited calls, unlimited texts and 5GB of data. But you’ll probably want one of their “unlimited data” plans in order to get the most out of these.
One catch is that, with the exception of Amazon (above), if you’ve already chosen your content add-on then you’re kind of stuck with it (i.e. it’s more intended for new or upgrading customers, as well as those who have yet to pick their content).

Amazon offer products and services that meet the wants and needs of people in today’s world. You’d be crazy to think that’s not the case.
I agree, YT Premium in the other hand is a good benefit. I pay for it and I enjoy the no ads and access to their stuff. If you get YT music in with that as well (like you do with premium) then it’s a very very good deal!
YouTube Premium seems expensive for what it is?
It’s not. You get YT music and no ads – access to all their content and the content creators get a bit more for their videos when a YTP user watches.
So it’s all good. I used to pay £9,99 for Spotify alone and now I get the music bit for free basically (and pay £9,99 for YTP)
Great that moving closer to fast lanes for content providers, NOT.
I would like a clarification on this, as is this actually Amazon Prime or Amazon Prime Video
Ok confirmed with vodafone support, it is only prime video so this is more of a click-bait article as my wife had this option for two years now
