Sky’s (Sky Broadband) sibling ISP for small business broadband customers, Sky Connect, has today joined with Sky Business TV to both relaunch under the singular Sky Business brand – providing both business connectivity and entertainment products.
The integration is said to be “bringing together teams that are experts in their field, who thrive on new ideas and make them happen“. But it doesn’t appear as if there will be any new broadband and phone packages launching alongside this announcement for SMEs. As such, it’s probably more of a simplification and cost-saving / efficiency move for Sky.
Steve Hackley, MD of Sky Business, said: “At Sky, we’re always looking forward, never back, with a relentless drive to reinvent what we do. Moving to one Sky Business means we can innovate faster and bring a better mix of products, better service, and better content across all our customer and prospect sectors. We’re here to help make running a business a lot easier, whether a startup or a large corporation, a coffee shop or a consultancy, a pub/bar or a florist.”
Good for them. The new name makes more sense.
