London-focused broadband ISP CommunityFibre, which aspires to roll out a Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) broadband network to cover 2.2 million premises in the UK’s capital city by the end of 2024 (currently at 720,000 premises passed), has launched a “60 Day Satisfaction Guarantee” for all new customers.
In short. If at any point within the first 60 days of installation a customer isn’t happy with their new full fibre connection, they can leave their contract without incurring any cancellation fees. This is in conjunction with the provider’s existing 14-day cooling-off period, which begins at the point of sale and during which time customers can cancel their contract for free and get a refund for any monies paid.
A long cancellation guarantee suggests that CommunityFibre is confident in the quality and pricing of their packages, which tend to be sold on standard 12 and 24-month minimum contract terms. Prices start from just £20 per month for a 150Mbps (symmetric) plan (inc. a £9.95 setup fee) and rise to £49 for their top 3000Mbps (3Gbps tier). What’s more, the post-contract prices only increase by +£2 per month, which means it stays cheap.
Graeme Oxby, CEO of CommunityFibre, said: “We are so confident that customers are going to love our broadband and our service reliability, on top of the amazing savings on price, which is why we are now offering all new customers a 60 Day Satisfaction Guarantee.”
Wow. A real win for the customers
CF is closer to 900k rather than the 700k in the article
They could have even more if they fix the address database. Having a fiber box in front of my home window is not enough for customer service to take order.
60 day install guarantee, and ducted homes actually installed rather than just poles would be better.
