UK ISP Sky Broadband has today discounted their top 900Mbps Gigafast broadband package, which is sold over Openreach’s national Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) network (available to 12.5 million premises), to just £42 per month on an 18-month minimum contract term (£63 thereafter).
Sky’s packages all include their “Wall to Wall WiFi Guarantee“, an included wireless router, unlimited usage, a pay as you go phone service (IP based) and a minimum speed guarantee. Customers can optionally add a WiFi 6E capable router and mesh system for an extra £6.50 a month for 18 months (normally £10), while various inclusive calling options are also available (e.g. evening and weekend calls for £5.75 a month).
In addition, Sky has also discounted the price of their 145Mbps tier to £29 per month (£43 post-contract) and 500Mbps to £33 per month (£53 post-contract). Take note that an upfront fee of £5 might also apply, although curiously Sky suggests that most new customers will be able to get this refunded (why they don’t just make it £0 to avoid confusion we don’t know).
